I enjoy the fun activities we get to do with the kids. Working at Crayons2pencils has helped me become a better teacher. They have given me the tools to do better and to grow. I love that they have taken the time to help everyone grow. My most memorable experience is the color run that we do with the kids. Seeing all the colorful smiling faces and the cool pictures we get. I feel supported with all help from teachers around me. They jump in when help is needed and share ideas. I love when we get to share our ideas. The unique thing we have is how much the directors really care about the families. How we want to make sure we are giving it our all and our best for the kids. Working at Crayons2pencils is been an amazing experience. I can't wait to see what comes next at Crayons2pencils.
What I love most about working for C2P is the bonds I have built with the kids and the relationships with the parents are so rewarding. My role has impacted me in ways that have made me more confident leading a room and I’ve taken what I’ve learned and utilized that at home with my own kids. My most meaningful moment here was being able to spend a year in red Room with Mrs Jesicca. She has been my biggest role model here and taught me so much as a teacher and she’s one of the reasons I believe im the teacher I am today. As a team member I’ve felt supported because I feel heard. Any concern I’ve had or even on a personal level my feelings have always felt valid. What makes us unique is we are determined to make this the best and safest fun place for these kids. I’ve seen so much growth here with many children on the last day compared to the first day they came in. It’s an amazing thing to witness the personalities and how far they have come. My son goes to the rec center and even though he just started, the very first thing he expressed was he never wanted to leave and could not wait to come back. He talked about all the fun things they did and how there were so many cool things to do and he already made a few friends. The best thing he said was he felt safe and that warmed my heart.
I have worked for C2P for three years going on year 4. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. The work environment truly feels like family and being able to have my kids here makes everything so much better. Working here has not only helped me grow as a teacher but also as a parent! Tips and tricks I have learned for my students I have also brought home to my own family.
We have a grate team and we all enjoy laughing and learning with them I have learned about how kids develop and different ways to help kids learn better when needing help there always a teacher there to help and give ideas to I feel valued her for my ideas on certain things
I love how supportive the directors are! They make sure that the teachers have the training and supplies to make each classroom safe and exciting. The center has amazing traditions such as Thanksgiving dinner, color run, Muffins with Mom, Popsicles with pops, Halloween Carnival, and so much more. They really encourage professional growth through in person and online trainings; as well as assisting with going back to college. The directors are always showing their appreciation for the teachers and offering incentives for going the extra mile. Overall- one of my favorite career paths I have chosen.
I love how hands on C2P is! All of the teachers are sitting with the kids, engaging in the activities! Watching the kids grow throughout the school year is such a blessing! Each classroom feels like its own little family with all of the different personalities but also the different bonds in that class! The teachers as a whole is such a welcoming crew that just make you laugh all day long! The directors are absolutely amazing! They always have smiles on their faces and always lend a helping hand when needed! I have never felt more loved than when I’m at work at Crayons 2 Pencils!!
I have grown as a person here because of the amazing staff that surround me here! While also working here I have learned a lot of patience! Working with kids is not an easy task but they definitely have opened my eyes and helped me look at things in a different perspective, and because of that I have become a better person!
What I love most about working here (besides the children) is that we have a great team! Teachers are always supporting each other. If you ever have a problem or personal issue Cindy and Jill are very approachable and supportive. They are always encouraging you to learn more for yourself and to do the T E A C H program, and they give you the tools you need to succeed. The communication here is the best I’ve ever had in working with children! I have so many memorable moments here with the children, staff, parents, and owners! My 1st memorable moment here was when I had sent a message to a parent about what I liked about their child in my class. That parent responded saying how happy they were with me being with their child and that they have seen such an improvement in their child since I came into the class. I am now a lead teacher of that classroom. I think what makes it truly special having a center in a smaller community is that a lot of the parents know each other and the kids get to have play with each other outside of school.
What I enjoy most about working here is it truly feels like one big family. The teachers are all so supportive of one another and work together. Since I have started working here at the beginning of 2024 I have already enrolled in programs to further my education for an early childhood education degree. I would be able to do this without the programs crayons 2 pencils.
Crayons2Pencils is a great place to work because everyone that works here is supportive. It feels like everyone here is my family and I’m never scared to ask anyone a question or ask for help or advice here. It feels like my second home, and for the kids I teach, it feels like their second home also. They come in smiling to be at school every morning. I will always remember the time a child told me that they think school is the most fun place to be ever! It’s so fun to be apart of that journey with students!
What I enjoy most about Crayons 2 Pencils ELC is the work environment and the people I get to spend my days with! I have learned so much while working here—I feel as if I have grown as a person while helping the little ones grow as well. I have gained a lot of knowledge in planning, resolving conflicts, building bonds, and more. One thing I will never forget is my first day and the first color “run” I attended! I love how we have yearly activities like that. We love to engage and learn while also keeping it fun! I feel that I can trust my coworkers and be myself around them. It is a very enjoyable work environment. I like being able to come to work, do my job, and also have fun with both the kids and other teachers! Our center is unique and special because we do lots of hands-on learning. I believe we are very understanding and hire well-qualified people. We welcome everyone and get to call everyone here family!
