Open Houses & Enrollment Information

We invite prospective families to join us for our annual Open Houses every January. This is a wonderful opportunity to tour our facilities, meet our dedicated staff, and learn more about our programs and community.

 

In addition to our January Open House, we strive to host 4-5 additional Open Houses throughout the year, providing multiple opportunities for you to experience our school in action.

 

Enrollment Process

Starting February 1st each year, we begin accepting enrollments for the upcoming school year that will begin in August.

 

Our enrollment process is designed to be straightforward and welcoming, ensuring that you have all the information you need to make the best decision for your child's education.

 

We encourage interested families to attend our Open Houses and reach out with any questions. We are here to support you every step of the way and look forward to welcoming new families into our community!

Enrollment Information

While we offer childcare hours, we operate like a school, open year-round to support your child's growth every step of the way.
 

Program Highlights:

  • Consistent Classrooms: At Crayons 2 Pencils, children stay in their classroom for 12 consecutive months, advancing once a year with peers they will eventually join in kindergarten.  Our Program runs August to August each year. 
     

Open House and Enrollment Details:

  • Open House: Starting in January, we welcome families to tour our facilities and ask any questions as we will host multiple open houses during the month.

  • Enrollment Process: Begins February 1st for a future start date in August, aligning closely with Norwalk School District start dates. This ensures a consistent and supportive environment throughout the year.
     

Tuition Rates:

  • Tuition rates are updated annually, and detailed information will be provided during enrollment.
     

Availability for Mid-Year Enrollment:

  • Spots may be available mid-year in various age groups. If interested, contact us to schedule a personal tour.

  • 2 Baby Rooms

  • 2 Toddler (One-Year-Old) Rooms

  • 3 Early Preschool (Two-Year-Old) Rooms

  • 3 Preschool (Three-Year-Old) Rooms

  • 3 Pre-K (Four- and Five-Year-Old) Classrooms

  • After School Program (Enrolling Year Round)
     

Your Child's Experience:

At Crayons 2 Pencils, we enrich learning with a structured schedule that includes Small Group Literacy and Math, Music and Movement, Fine and Large Motor Activities, Sensory Exploration, Discovery Time, and enriching clubs like Music and Soccer. Our comprehensive approach ensures that each child's progress is monitored with assessments conducted multiple times per year and shared with families, keeping you informed and engaged in your child's development and milestones.
 

Parental Involvement:

Communication is key! Parents have access to an app for direct interaction with teachers. Additionally, private Facebook pages for each classroom keep you connected with daily updates, including over 30 photos and video clips per day.
